Sean Hayes headed to ‘The Millers’ on CBS

CBS recently announced that Sean Hayes, late of “Sean Saves the World,” will join the cast of “The Millers” as a series regular when the sitcom returns for its second season in late October.

“What I know is that Kip (my character) will be friends with Carol (Margo Martindale) and there will be friction between me and Nathan (Will Arnett),” Hayes told me. “[Series creator] Greg Garcia is still tweaking the character a bit but that’s all I know right now.”

Kip will be introduced to viewers in the Oct. 30 season premiere. “The thought of he and Margo Martindale as BFFs makes me smile every time I think about it,” Garcia said about Hayes in a statement. “We’re only just getting started, and writing this season’s stories has been a blast.” “The Millers” cast also includes Jayma Mays, JB Smoove, Nelson Franklin and Lulu Wilson. The series averaged 12.2 million viewers last season and a healthy 3.1 in adults 18-49.

Doggin’ it on Nickelodeon

Rapper Snoop Dogg will make an appearance this season on “Sanjay and Craig,” Nickelodeon’s animated series which kicks off its second season this Saturday (10:30 a.m.). In Snoop Dogg’s episode, airing later this season, he’ll voice a character called Street Dogg, a “rap superstar” who moves in next door to Sanjay and his talking pet snake, Craig, “looking to escape the stress of celebrity life.” Pals Sanjay and Craig — voiced by Maulik Pancholy and Chris Hardwick — discover that Street Dogg was half of a successful rap duo with their idol, Remington Tufflips — but that the duo parted ways.

Speaking of second seasons, Andie MacDowell, who stars in Hallmark Channel’s “Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove,” will promote the Season 2 premiere along with 70 lookalike models who, starting Thursday at noon, will pedal through Manhattan on cruiser bikes, and cross the Brooklyn Bridge, dressed like MacDowell’s “Cedar Cove” character, Olivia. “Cedar Cove” airs Saturday at 8 p.m.

Last, but not least …

Twenty-six Disney stars will perform an interpretation of “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” from “Frozen” this Friday on Radio Disney (8 p.m./1560 AM). The video premieres Sunday night at 9:20 on Disney Channel … Jennette McCurdy, whose Nick show “Sam & Cat” (co-starring Ariana Grande) was abruptly cancelled last week, reportedly because of backstage friction, didn’t seem fazed — she was at Serendipity (East 60th) over the weekend with former “iCarly” star Miranda Cosgrove.
