Doh! Meet the man with a world record for his ‘Simpsons’ tattoos

As a kid, Lee Weir wanted nothing more than to watch his favorite television show, “The Simpsons.”

Referring to his dad as the “real-life Ned Flanders,” he told Weir there was no way he would let his son watch a character like Homer Simpson, who played the head of the household like the “bafoon.”

Well it looks like the 27-year-old Simpsons fanatic is getting the last laugh because he is now the world record holder for having the most tattoos of a single cartoon character, Homer Simpson, Caters News reports.

“To have a record for something that is not only cool but also very close to me is just brilliant,” the New Zealand resident said.

“It hasn’t made me a better person but I definitely think it has made me a slightly cooler one.”

The popular cartoon character that was once shunned in Weir’s childhood home now occupies his entire left arm.

A closer look at the tattoo sleeve reveals numerous depictions of America’s longest running sitcom Dad, including baby Homer, Incredible Hulk Homer, Donut Homer and even Zombie Homer.

All of the 41 record-breaking Homer tattoos were done by tattoo artist and buddy, Ben Jenkins, who took more than 25 hours to complete the Simpsons masterpiece.

“I’ve always enjoyed watching the show in later life and it feels incredible to be a record breaker,” Weir said.
