‘It was too much for me’: homeless mom who abandoned tot

A homeless woman accused of abandoning her baby at the Columbus Circle subway station last month told cops she did it because “it was too much for her,” according to newly released court papers.

Frankea Dabbs ditched her 10-month-old daughter on an uptown platform at the 59th Street station on July 7.

“It was too much for me,” she told cops when she was questioned on July 8 at 71st and Broadway. “I knew someone would find the baby and would take care of the baby.”

A grand jury indicted Dabbs for child abandonment and endangering the welfare of a minor. At her appearance on Wednesday, Justice Gregory Carro ordered a psych exam.
