Boy loses fingertip in class, school never called ambulance: suit

A Bronx boy whose fingertip was cut off during a classroom scuffle says school staffers wasted precious time interrogating him instead of putting his severed digit on ice or calling an ambulance, a lawsuit claims.

Part of Kalieef Watkins’ left middle finger was chopped off at MS 390.

Staffers “refused to immediately call an ambulance” in an attempt to avoid ratcheting up the “statistics of violent incidents” at the school, according to the lawsuit.
