I’m hearing that John Gambling, who retired from WOR last December, is on the verge of signing a deal to host a new radio show on AM 970 “The Answer.” Gambling hasn’t signed the deal yet but, if he does, his show would premiere in early April and would air weekdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to sources.
Gambling, 63, was on WOR for a total of 20 years during two stints at the station (with a run on WABC 770 sandwiched in between).
AM 970’s recently hired former “SNL”-er Joe Piscopo as its full-time morning-drive guy after a tryout period.
Neither Gambling nor station management was available for comment late Tuesday.
