Maniac shoots up Bronx street corner in broad daylight

A gunman opened fire in broad daylight and wounded three people with bullets on a Bronx street corner, police said Monday.

The maniac was caught on surveillance video firing into a group of approximately 10 people at the intersection of Summit Avenue and West 165th Street in Morris Heights around 3:00 p.m. Sunday, cops said.

When the first shot was fired the men desperately begin to duck and run for cover behind car doors, the video shows.

The gunman is seen charging into frame as he runs down the block still firing several rounds in their direction and then, he turns around and books it in the opposite direction down the street.

Three victims were hit in the melee. A 29-year-old was shot in the torso, another, 21, was grazed in the chest, and a 28-year-old was shot in the right knee, cops said.

They were all rushed to Lincoln Hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries and are listed in stable condition.

The attack seems to have been gang related, a source said.
