GM’s public prostate exam while singing ‘Take Me Out to the Ball Game’

They say you see something new every day in baseball, and this certainly qualifies:

The general manager of the minor league Myrtle Beach Pelicans had a prostate exam. During the game.

During the seventh inning stretch of Thursday’s game, Andy Milovich bent over with his head out the press box window singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” as the exam was performed as part of Prostate Cancer Awareness Night.

“It wasn’t bad,” said the 45-year-old Milovich, according to ESPN. “The doc was done maybe 15 seconds into the song. I think my next exam is going to be a significant letdown.”

Said Dr. Glenn Dangi, who administered the exam: “I did exams in prisons for three years and New York City for 17 years, and this was a first.”

Milovich had the exam as part of a challenge with a 10-year-old girl suffering from brain cancer who has a Facebook page about her fight. Milovich agreed to the exam if the page got 10,000 “likes,” a number reached Monday.
