Dabbs was arrested on West 72nd street and Broadway Monday night after a Good Samaritan recognized the mother from a media photo that was released to the public.

About 12 hours earlier, Dabbs was seen on a subway platform at Columbus Circle pushing a pink stroller that carried her 7-month-old daughter, according to cops who said Dabbs left the stroller behind before hopping on a 1 train.

A witness told cops the woman was walking with the baby, Milini Edmonds, in a stroller in the first car of the uptown No. 1 train at about 11:50 a.m. Monday.

When the train pulled into the station, she shoved the stroller out and continued on the train.

The baby girl was handed over to the city Administration for Children’s Services after she was examined at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Dabbs told cops she is the mother, and said she was overwhelmed by the responsibility, sources said.

Officials said Dabbs is believed to be homeless. She was carrying identification cards from California and North Carolina, where her criminal history includes an assault charge last month.
