Cellphone shop robbed twice in 2 months by same suspect

A cellphone shop in Midtown was robbed for the second time in two months — by the same suspect, the owner told The Post.

BC Wireless owner Mandeep Kumar says the most recent robbery occurred Tuesday afternoon just after 3 p.m., when Kumar says two men came into the store acting like customers.

“We have a very clear camera. We gave the NYPD very clear photos and video. We told them last time, please get these photos in the newspapers. Now it’s the same man,” he said.

But the two-timing thief showed up with a few pals this time and ordered Kumar’s brother to get down on the floor at gunpoint. One of the suspects dropped his gun as they fled the scene.

Another suspect walked into the store minutes later brandishing a gun, while the two cronies filled bags with cellphones, cops said. They scored nearly $40,000 worth of the electronics and over $9,000 in cash, according to Kumar.

Kumar says his brother, who works at the store, chased the robbers as they took off on 32nd Street and Fifth Avenue.

He noticed a parked police car and knocked on the window to alert him of the armed crooks.

Kumar says the officer’s slow response allowed the thieves to get away.

“He knows he could have done more, they could have easily caught these guys,” Kumar said.

“My brother told the cop these guys had a gun and just robbed our store. This is the second time in two months this has happened. Thank God my family is safe.”

No arrests have been made and police say they are reviewing surveillance footage. I’m offering $1000 to anyone who can help police make an arrest,” Kumar said. “To me, this is personal.”
