When Nicki Minaj speaks, Lil’ Kim rages.
The two have had an ongoing quarrel dating back years — and in the wake of Minaj’s guest spot on Beyoncé’s “Flawless” remix, which surfaced over the weekend, Kim has decided to reignite the beef by issuing a response track.
Clearly irked by Minaj’s claim of being the “queen of rap,” Kim cuts into the song and issues her own tirade aimed squarely at her fellow New Yorker. “Queen of rap, f–k outta here/Queen’s back, f–k outta here.”
Fighting words, indeed.
It all smacks of desperation. Kim hasn’t released her own fully fledged album since 2005, so while Minaj’s claim to queendom is bold, she’s much closer to being royalty than Kim currently is.
