If only Stony Brook showed this much fight.
Early in Saturday’s America East championship against Albany at Pritchard Gymnasium on Long Island, the teams’ two mascots — Wolfie (Seawolf) and Damien (Great Dane) — were involved in a scuffle in front of Stony Brook’s student section. The two mascots exchanged a few shoves before Stony Brook’s staff broke up the entertaining fight.
Though Wolfie may have won the battle, the Great Danes won the war, advancing to their second straight NCAA Tournament with a 69-60 win.
