NY judge isn’t first to call a Lefrak a ‘blowhard’

Real-estate heir Jamie LeFrak should embrace the “blowhard” persona.

It’s a family tradition, after all.

Last week, The Post exclusively reported that real-estate heir Jamie LeFrak lost an appeal to toss a $4.8 million jury award based in part on concerns that he was painted as a rich “blowhard” at trial. New Jersey’s appeals court ruled that the description was “fair,” given the evidence.

Turns out, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

The legendary Sam LeFrak, Jamie’s grandfather and the granddaddy of the LeFrak empire, “has long been known as an eccentric blowhard,” Businessweek reported in 1992.

The mag was celebrating the late LeFrak’s shrewd business skills, which allowed him to survive the real-estate bust of the 1980s and pass his empire on to the next generation.

Jamie, on the other hand, faces dozens of new complaints that he sold apartments in Jersey City with panoramic views of the Hudson River before blocking their views with an even larger apartment complex.
