The fugitive MMA fighter War Machine was caught and arrested by US Marshals Friday afternoon after a week-long manhunt following his brutal beating of his porn star ex-girlfriend Christy Mack, authorities said.
Jon Koppenhaver, who also goes by the wrestling name War Machine, was collared at an Extended Stay America Hotel in Simi Valley, California just outside of Los Angeles, cops said.
Police said he was found inside a hotel room with a small amount of cash and some pizza.
A week ago War Machine led authorities on a wild chase after savagely beating Mack at her Las Vegas home August 8. Mack’s new boyfriend, Corey Thomas, was also beaten in the attack.
Mack was hospitalized for broken teeth, a fractured rib, broken bones to her face, as well as a ruptured liver.
War Machine is currently being held at Ventura County jail awaiting arraignment, according to authorities.
