Hillary hints at presidential run on ‘The Daily Show’

WASHINGTON — Hillary Rodham Clinton ventured this close to declaring her presidential candidacy Tuesday night, winking to Jon Stewart that she prefers a work space shaped like the Oval Office.

“Do you have a favorite shape” for an office, Stewart asked Clinton on “The Daily Show,’ in an interview in which she repeatedly demurred when pressed for her intentions.

“Would you like it to have corners?” he asked, leadingly. “Or would you like it to not have corners?”

Clinton’s answer brought the studio audience to cheers.

“I think that the world is so complicated, the fewer corners that you can have, the better,” Clinton said, with a not-so-coy smile.

Stewart had kicked off the interview by admitting that his audience didn’t care about the new memoir she’s hawking — “They just want to know if your running for president,” he joked.
