Gorillas escape, bringing possible dawn of the planet of the apes

It’s a good thing none of them was named Caesar.

A Minnesota zoo received a frighteningly realistic sneak peek at “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” on Thursday when three gorillas managed to escape their enclosure.

Officials at the Como Zoo in St. Paul said Jabir, Samson and Virgil went on the loose after they found an unsecured door inside their habitat, KARE-11 reports.

“The bachelor group of three gorillas had left their indoor enclosure through an unsecured door behind the scenes of the indoor gorillas habitat,” zoo officials said.

They added that the apes were never outside the zoo’s gorilla-proof barriers, thus preventing the possibility of any serious attacks or an attempt to take over the world.

Visitors were briefly locked down in a pavilion anyway to make sure the clever trio couldn’t get their stinking paws on anyone.

Zoo officials insisted that people were never in serious danger and that nobody was hurt during the incident.

After less than an hour, the escapees were secured safely inside their habitat.
