Giancarlo Stanton had one of the highlights of spring training on Monday when he destroyed a pitch from the Mets’ Jack Leathersich in the seventh inning.
In the SNY booth, Bob Ojeda simply said: “I have never seen that,” referring to the distance the ball traveled.
Some have estimated he hit the ball 500 feet.
“See 2nd pole from left between palm trees. That’s where Stanton’s HR landed.”
