Woman run over by own vehicle at car wash

A freak accident at a car wash sent a nurse flying through the air, leaving her with painful back injuries.

Rita Gazivoda, 35, who works at New York Hospital, took her Audi convertible to the Riverdale Car Wash on Tibetts Avenue in The Bronx on Saturday.

Gazivoda was standing next to her car as a worker cleaned its interior when a silver Jeep Liberty suddenly bolted out of the building after an employee accidentally hit the gas.

It smashed into her Audi, which then hit her.

“She was screaming, yelling, ‘Help! Help!’ You could tell she was in pain,” said Jerry Pacheco, who owns the Jeep. “She was screaming, ‘I can’t move my leg!’ ’’

“The wheel ran over her leg,” her dad, Paul, told The Post. “She hurt her back. She’s in big pain.’’ She was treated at St. Barnabas Hospital.
