Teenager jumps into Hudson after handing her ID to a stranger

A disturbed teenager handed her belongings to a stranger — then jumped into the Hudson River Thursday, according to ­authorities.

The teenager, whose name was not released, gave the stranger her ID, wallet and other belongings, then jumped into the water from the Hudson River Greenway by the George Washington Bridge in Washington Heights, according to authorities.

Police had not found the teenager as of Thursday night. The search and investigation into her apparent suicide bid is continuing, according to police.
