Groot from ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ gets his groove on

Oh baby, give me one more chance . . . to watch the best part of “Guardians of the Galaxy” again!

Fans of the late-summer blockbuster have been raving about the movie’s mix of action, humor and spacey special effects. But one of the film’s fans’ favorite moments (spoiler alert) is this clip from the very end showing little baby twig Groot dancing his way back to life to the tune of the Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back.”

Groot, the alien being who’s basically a living tree, breaks apart saving the Guardians. But the light tone of the movie isn’t lost at the end, and he starts to grow back from a little twig, shyly dancing and then freezing when Drax (Dave Bautista) looks on.

The scene is a short one, but it shows exactly why the movie was such a home run: Even in an action-adventure story with blue-faced aliens and evil titans, dancing to a Jackson 5 number feels right at home.
