Model slashed with razor suing school for $21M

A statuesque New York City model who was sliced in the face with a razor blade by a jealous rival is suing her former high school for $21 million because they failed to call cops or an ambulance after the crazed attack, according to a new federal lawsuit.

Jazmin Drain, nearly 6 feet tall and now 18, was constantly under siege by envious female classmates at Freeport High School who bristled at her modeling aspirations and intimidating height, according to her attorney, Fred Brewington.

Drain and her parents claim they repeatedly asked school officials to allow her to transfer to a nearby district but were refused.

Tensions between Drain and her enemies boiled over last May when she was leaving school but had her path blocked by classmate Khatora Watson, the suit said.

Despite the presence of a nearby security officer, Watson suddenly pulled out a razor blade from her cellphone case and slashed Drain across the face, according to the suit.

Watson backed up her blade work with punches and ended up fracturing Drain’s nose, according to court papers.

But despite a flow of blood across Drain’s face, administrators — including assistant principal Joseph Mille — didn’t think to call police or an ambulance, the suit states.

Mille instead called Drain’s father, Ronald Drain, after the incident but downplayed the severity of the attack over the phone.

The stunned father arrived at school to see his daughter bleeding profusely and rushed her to Nassau University Medical Center, where she was treated for a severe laceration and a busted nose.

Drain’s dad had to personally contact cops, who arrested Watson on assault charges. Her case is still pending.

Brewington said the savage assault forced Drain to undergo plastic surgery to remove unsightly scar tissue and that the incident has temporarily halted her catwalk career.

Freeport officials did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the suit.
