John O’Hurley lands deal to host ‘What’s Hot on Broadway’

‘Seinfeld” is celebrating its 25th birthday with a nice gift to recurring co-star John O’Hurley — and an upcoming “Best Of” run on TBS.

O’Hurley, who famously played catalogue maven J. Peterman on NBC’s long-running sitcom, has inked a deal to host “What’s Hot on Broadway,” a new weekly, half-hour TV show that will be syndicated nationally by The Broadway Channel and will cover red-carpet openings, Broadway previews, the Tonys, backstage rehearsals and news about Las Vegas stage productions.

The Broadway Channel airs on cable outlets — including Time Warner Cable (VOD Ch. 1013) Verizon and RCN (Ch. 76) — on Jet Blue flights, YouTube, TiVo and a variety of other platforms (broadwaychannel.com has info).

To celebrate “Seinfeld’s” silver anniversary, meanwhile, TBS will air a week-long slate of “Best Of” episodes starting this Monday (four episodes each night) and culminating on Saturday, July 5 (the show’s official anniversary) with five episodes considered among the show’s finest, including “The Contest” and “The Junior Mint.” (“Seinfeld” aired from 1989-98.)

But Sirius(ly) …

The hosts of NBC’s “Today” show — including Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, Natalie Morales and Hoda Kotb — have shared their favorite Fourth of July recipes with People magazine (for its July 7 issue).

People returns the favor Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. by visiting “Today” on the plaza at Rockefeller Center, armed with its “Great Ideas” Food Truck, for a “cook-off” with the show’s hosts (judged by People editorial director Jess Cagle and celeb chef Padma Lakshmi). Wednesday also marks the premiere of “Today Show Radio” on SiriusXM (Ch. 108), which will feature a live broadcast of Wednesday’s Maroon 5 concert.

“Today Show Radio” airs live from 7-10 a.m. on the East Coast (and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the West Coast).More radio: WFAS (103.9 FM) is rebranding late this week and is expected to go to an urban format, according to radioinsight.com. Owner Cumulus is holding a launch party Wednesday (6-8 p.m.) at Sylvia’s restaurant in Harlem.

Last, but not least …
