Real estate brokerage Massey Knakal consolidating offices

The commercial real estate brokerage Massey Knakal Realty is growing while consolidating its offices into 40,738 square feet on the second and fourth floors of 275 Madison Ave.

The floors will be connected with internal staircases while the 15-year deal provides further expansion options in the RFR Realty-owned building.

The brokers are now scattered into nooks and crannies on floors 3,9,10 and 14.

Bill Montana, Kurt Handschumacher and Howard Poretsky of Savills Studley represented Massey Knakal in the expansion while RFR was repped in house by Oliver Katcher and Gregg Popkin.

Camera and electronics retailer Adorama will have great exposure in the Union Square area where it will soon be renting out photo and video equipment in 5,000 square feet on the ground floor of 50 W. 17th St.

David Tricarico and Lindsay Anapol of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant in the retail deal. Jason Pennington and Zach Nathan of Ripco Real Estate worked for the Argo Real Estate ownership, which had an asking rent of $118 per square foot.

Fresh from buying the Gucci building at 685 Fifth Ave. for $490 million, Joe Sitt’s Thor Equities has now taken another retail position in Soho. We hear it is buying a 6,000 square foot retail co-op at 138 Greene St. for $15.93 million.
