“He’s garbage. My heart just breaks,” said cat lover Lori Valenti, who was one of about a dozen feline fans who packed Brooklyn criminal court to condemn Andre Robinson, 21, for booting the kitty, which has since been adopted and named King .

“Somebody has to be held accountable. He’s just sorry he got caught.”

Robinson will face an animal cruelty rap when his trial begins September 15, a judge said Monday.

A YouTube video of Robinson kicking the cat as his pals laughed hysterically outside a Bedford-Stuyvesant housing project in May went viral and led to his arrest.

The cat lovers gathered to yell “Loser” at Robinson as he fled court Monday with court officers escorted by court officers.

“He needs help. He may be a product of his environment. There are studies that state it starts with animals and moves onto people. He knew what he was doing,” said Milena Apath, who runs the Facebook page, “Justice for King.”

The cat Robinson kicked, King, was adopted in June by a Manhattan man.

The animal cruelty rap Robinson faces is a misdemeanor so the maximum sentence would be one year behind bars.
