Torii Hunter: If I can endure cramps during sex, ‘no excuse’ for LeBron

This is a clear climax to all of the hot takes on LeBron James’ cramp-induced exit from Game 1 of the NBA Finals in the San Antonio sauna.

Detroit Tigers outfielder Torii Hunter, in an interview with Jim Rome that will air Wednesday night on Showtime, said he fought through debilitating leg cramps in a recent amorous session with his wife — so there’s “no excuse” for James’ breakdown.

“I’ve been there before, especially playing football in high school and after the game you’re on the bus and you catch a cramp and you can’t move,” Hunter said. “But I can tell you this, I made love to my wife the other night and I caught a cramp in my hamstring. I actually put my leg out and kept performing. So there’s no excuse.”

James went cramp-free as the Heat and Spurs traded wins in Games 2 and 3 of the finals, giving San Antonio a 2-1 series lead.

The garrulous Hunter, who has been remarkably healthy during his 18-season big league career, is batting .267 with nine homers and 32 RBIs for the first-place Tigers.
