The 5 songs we want to hear Jay Z and Beyoncé perform on tour

When Jay Z and Beyoncé kick off their highly anticipated “On the Run” tour Wednesday night in Miami, we can expect the pair to perform plenty of solo hits. But with a recording history stretching back more than a decade, the husband and wife team also have plenty of joint material to mine. As they take the stage, here are the five songs we’re dying to see them perform.

’03 Bonnie & Clyde,’ Jay Z feat. Beyoncé

Jay’s first single from his 2002 album, “The Blueprint 2: The Gift & the Curse,” is also widely known as the song that sparked speculation about the two having more than just a working relationship. It might be predictable to kick off Wednesday’s show with this one — but considering how symbolic it is, it would hardly be a surprise.

‘Crazy in Love,’ Beyoncé ft. Jay Z

It’s the song that cemented Beyoncé as a superstar — but it’s also the tune that finally put all the “are they or aren’t they?” rumors to bed. When she sings, “You got me sprung, and I don’t care who sees,” there’s no question who she has in mind.

‘Upgrade U,’ Beyoncé ft. Jay Z

In the video for this song from her 2006 sophomore album “B’Day,” Beyoncé kicks off Jay Z’s verse by impersonating her then-husband-to-be. She later revealed to MTV that she was so nervous to film the scene that she made Jay Z leave the room.

‘Déjà Vu,’ Beyoncé ft. Jay Z

Though not as popular as some of their other collaborations, expect die-hard fans to go crazy when the bass line on this record — also from “B’Day” — drops.

‘Drunk in Love,’ Beyoncé ft. Jay Z

Warning: Explicit language

In 2013, Jay Z and Beyoncé both released solo albums, both containing songs featuring one another — but “Drunk in Love,” off Bey’s self-titled album, is arguably the pair’s greatest hit. The tune’s not the most romantic, but it’s the perhaps the most relatable.
