It was a family affair that called for Kleenex.

After a stunning, energy-filled performance of a medley of songs from her self-titled album, Beyoncé was presented with the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award from husband Jay Z and adorable 2-year-old daughter Blue Ivy at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.

Wearing a colorful mosaic bodysuit, the singer accepted the award from Jay Z — who she referred to as “my beloved” — and sealed the deal with a kiss (16:23).

The couple, who have been plagued by reports of an impending split, appeared to be picture of a happy family as Beyoncé broke down in tears at the sight of her adorable tot.

And there wasn’t a dry eye in the audience or on Twitter after the power couple’s offspring exclaimed “go Mommy!” into the microphone.
