A baseball-bat-wielding thief took aggressive panhandling to a whole new level in Lefferts Gardens Saturday, authorities said.

Timothy Young, 20, followed a stranger on Clarkson Avenue while swinging the bat and demanding 50 cents, a Criminal Court complaint charges.

The victim was terrified but not injured during the 4 p.m. run-in with the menacing beggar, records state.

Young was charged with menacing, weapon possession, attempted petit larceny and harassment, according to a spokeswoman for Brooklyn District Attorney Ken Thompson.


Police are asking for the public’s help finding five suspects who sprayed anti-Semitic graffiti in front of a home in Sheepshead Bay.

The taggers wrote “F–k Jews” on a pole in front of an Exeter Street home at about 12:30 a.m. on May 3, cops said.

They were captured on surveillance cameras creeping through the darkness and spraying the epithet.

Cops on Thursday issued a renewed plea for help to find the suspects.


Two parkgoers were robbed at gunpoint in Fort Greene.

A 20-year-old man and his 21-year-old gal pal were sitting inside Fort Greene Park on June 18 at 1 a.m. when the thief, believed to be in his 20s, walked up to them and pulled a firearm, cops said.

The gunman ordered the couple to stand up and hand over their valuables, police said.

They turned over an iPhone, debit and credit cards, a MetroCard and cash, cops said.

The suspect was caught on camera passing through a subway turnstile, police added.

He was wearing a white Polo shirt with dark pants and was using white earbuds.


Two thieves stole pills, cold medicine, and baby formula from a CVS in Fort Greene.

Police believe these two suspects entered the drugstore on Myrtle Avenue, near Ashland Place, on July 4 at about 8:30 p.m. and took bottles of Advil, Nyquil, arthritis medication and Enfamil baby formula, cops said.

The duo fled the store and no injuries were reported.

Staten Island

A man assaulted a driver in a case of road rage on the Goethals Bridge, according to Port Authority police.

Michael Casalo, 38, of Woodbridge, NJ, was in a 2007 Ford Explorer when he encountered a man driving a 2008 Saab Wednesday at about 8 p.m.

As both cars neared the toll plaza, the men got out of their cars, cops said.

Casalo, who weighs 260 pounds, shoved the other driver and Port Authority officers responded, police said.

Cops found that Casalo was driving with a suspended license and placed him under arrest, sources said.

There was no damage to either car and no one was injured in the scuffle, sources added.

Casalo was charged with disorderly conduct, aggravated unlicensed operator and reckless driving.


A man committed two murders about 15 minutes apart before trying to run down two police officers at the Verrazano Bridge, cops said.

Tyrell Brown, 25, fatally shot Kuwan Collins, 40, in the head during a robbery on Britton Avenue and Steuben Street in Grasmere on Sunday at about 5 a.m. and then fatally shot another man, Devon Powell, 23, in the head about 15 minutes later, police said.

After the shootings, Brown stole an SUV and tried to mow down two Port Authority cops at the bridge, police said. The cops fired shots at the fleeing car, but Brown got away, police said.

Two nights later, Brown allegedly tried carjacking another vehicle while dressed in a wig, law enforcement sources said. When that failed, he fled and cops arrested him a short time later, authorities said.

Brown was charged with two counts of murder, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.
