Johnny Manziel knows whom Cavaliers should draft

We know whom Johnny Manziel would draft with the first overall pick in next month’s NBA Draft. But early indications are his wish will not match the Cavaliers’ decision.

On Tuesday night, immediately after the Cavaliers defied the odds and won the NBA Draft Lottery for the third time in four years, the new Browns quarterback chimed in.

@22wiggins is Andrew Wiggins, who played one season at Kansas and averaged 17.1 points and 5.9 rebounds per game, and is seen as the prospect with the most upside in the Draft. Both Manziel and Wiggins are name-dropped in the opening lines of the Drake song “Draft Day.”

However, sources told ESPN the Cavaliers currently have center Joel Embiid, Wiggins’ Jayhawks teammate, at the top of their draft board. That is far from a done deal — the Cavaliers are trying to obtain medical information about Embiid’s back condition.

Embiid missed the Big 12 and NCAA Tournaments this past season with what Kansas called a stress fracture in his lower back.
