Man says he wasn’t hired at eye doctor’s because he’s a man

A Bronx resident was denied a job at a Manhattan medical office because its all-female staff didn’t want to work with a man, he claims in a lawsuit.

“Our vaginas rejected him,” the boss allegedly said in a text regarding Jeffrey Rodriguez, 27, he says in the Manhattan federal suit filed last week.

Rodriguez applied for a job at Centro Medico Dominicano on West 185th Street in February and spent a day training in the office of ophthalmologist Jacqueline Dauharje, he says in court papers.

That night, a friend forwarded a text, allegedly from Dauharje, which said Rodriguez “was good but the fact that he was a guy didn’t work for us . . . it was so unstabilizing for us all . . . sooooo weird . . . and he learned everything!!! But it just didn’t click . . . our vaginas rejected him,” he charges in the suit seeking unspecified damages against Dauharje.

Another co-worker apparently confirmed in a text to Rodriguez that he didn’t get the $25,000-a-year job simply because “these bitches are scared of d–k I guess, lol,” Rodriguez charges.

Dauharje did not return a call seeking comment.
