It’s life intimidating “arf.”

An adorable real-life version of “The Fox and the Hound” was discovered in England in the form of a baby fox and a dog who are best friends.

The fox — named Forrest Stump because he has no tail — was rescued by a mystery tourist in a field in Newquay, Cornwall, earlier this year, according to Barcroft Media.

The poor malnourished creature was rushed to a vet and later adopted by a wildlife ranger with a friendly mutt named Barney — and the animal couple quickly fell in love.

“I think they might be kindred spirits,” said Gary Zammit, who took the fox under his wing and nursed him back to health.

“He was in an awful state when they found him and it was touch and go for a long time. A fox this young can go downhill very quickly, so he needed round the clock care,” he added.

In a funny coincidence, both of the furry friends are missing their tails, Zammit said.

The tail-less duo, both of whom are adopted, now spend time playing and snuggling together on Zammit’s farm.

“Even without tails to wag, you can tell they are happiest when they are together,” he said.
