Meet Danielle Bernstein, The Post’s guest Fashion Week Instagrammer

In the oversaturated digital vortex commonly known as the blogosphere, Danielle Bernstein is a standout. Just ask her 34,000-plus Twitter followers, or her 600,000-and-counting Instagram fans, or us: Bernstein, the voice behind fashion blog WeWoreWhat, is taking over The Post’s official Instagram account during New York Fashion Week, which kicks off Thursday.

It’s a fitting gig for the 22-year-old Great Neck, LI, native, who says it was the city’s stylish denizens who motivated her to create her influential fashion site four years ago, when she moved to Manhattan to study marketing and advertising at FIT.

“WeWoreWhat started as a street style blog, which most people don’t know,” Bernstein says. “I was inspired by the fashion I was seeing every day in New York City and wanted to share that with others.”

The Bleecker Street resident turned the camera on herself after noticing that people were more interested in capturing her outfits — a winning mix of luxury designer pieces, vintage finds and affordable staples from stores like Zara. It’s a wearable, relatable aesthetic, and refreshing in a world of label-worshiping clotheshorses and overcooked peacocks.

The blog quickly became a diary of Bernstein’s downtown coolness and a daily dose of the au courant “less is more” mentality.

More than a half-million social-media followers later and the ombréd brunette finds herself in the rarefied league of power bloggers commanding six-figure endorsement paychecks and — of course — sitting front-row at Fashion Week. But never mind the money talk. For Bernstein, the most thrilling part of the big biannual affair is catching up with equally fabulous friends from around the world and “[watching] designers I’ve created close relationships with send beautiful pieces down the runway.”
