Emma and Kate are ravishing, while Rita just looks ridiculous

The color purple — a good movie, a great book and, currently, the go-to hue in Hollywood.

The best-dressed this week wore summer baroque, and kept all purple to clothing. The ones who failed again ruined warm-weather black — and Crayola-streaked hair did them no favors.

The hits:

Audrey Tautou

Mais oui! The French actress attended the “Mood Indigo” New York premiere wearing her favorite designer, Prada.

A cream leather dress with violet tie panels paired with red shoes sounds iffy on paper, but such is true for a lot of Prada, and Tautou pulls it off perfectly.

Emma Stone

Well, look who it is. After a brief hiatus, Stone is back on the press trail — and taking back the red carpet.

At the “Magic in the Moonlight” New York premiere, the actress wore Dolce & Gabbana’s floral-printed indigo dress and nude strappy sandals. With all the romantic delicacy you can hardly see the claws, as she’s clearly daring someone to upstage her.

Kate Bosworth

For the West Hollywood launch of her fashion app (yeah, that’s a thing) Bosworth played it simple in a printed pastel RED Valentino dress and eggplant Bionda Castana heels.

Chic and queenly with her updo braids — we have to give her credit for consistency.

Lizzy Caplan

Indeed, silver and gold seem tired, so we’re going to call it: Copper is the new It metallic.

To a press tour party in LA, Caplan donned a copper-embroidered white Marchesa dress with coordinating Erickson Beamon for Marchesa earrings and looked absolutely smashing.

Nicola Peltz

It’s pretty obvious that they’re now bringing “Transformers: Age of Extinction” premieres to more cities (Rio, really?) simply so Peltz can wear new outfits.

Though her omnipresence is starting to annoy, who can deny the cuteness of this Balenciaga crop top-and-shorts set?

The misses:

Iggy Azalea

Being neither Oscars elegant nor VMAs ratchet, we’ll concede: The dress code for the ESPYs is a little unclear.

Nevertheless, that’s no excuse to tie jersey bedsheets around your waist. Not to mention the slicked-back bouffant thing, and the audacity of the terrible nude pump.

Ashley Benson

Is this your NYC look, Ashley?

For an H&M launch party, the Cali girl ditched cutoffs for bad black, thinking, “Let me put on a sheer lace top and a Claire’s necklace and finish it off with an office blazer.” Her smoky eye, however, is on point.

Nicole Richie

While out in West Hollywood promoting her brilliant new show “Candidly Nicole,” the purple-haired reality star wore the last sheer skirt we ever want to see in our lives.

It’s done!

Kesha

It’s not nice to poke fun at the rehabilitated anorexics.

Let’s just say this seemingly self-bedazzled dress and grape-colored hair the singer sported to the LA premiere of “Planes: Fire & Rescue” is doing nothing for her healthy-weight frame.

Rita Ora

Yet leave it to Rita Ora to show up at Berlin fashion week wearing one that’s significantly worse.

See-through tutu, short-sleeved turtleneck, sheer gloves, ankle bracelets and a multitoned My Little Ponytail — this isn’t daring or edgy and certainly not becoming Rita. You simply look like an a - - hole.
