It’s ‘Return’ to Pa. for ‘Breaking Amish’ spinoff

TLC has picked up a spinoff of its “Breaking Amish” series that follows the five original cast members as they continue to acclimate to their new lives after traveling to New York City and Sarasota, Fla.

“Return to Amish” will premiere in June 2014 and follow Abe, Rebecca and Sabrina — who have decided to move back to Pennsylvania — and Kate, who chose to stay in New York.

The six hour-long episodes will follow the group as they work to apply some Amish traditions to holidays and major life events in their new lives including babies, pregnancy and dating.

In its first season in 2012, “Breaking Amish” averaged about 3 million viewers — the network’s highest-rated freshman series ever.

A second season, called “Breaking Amish: Los Angeles,” premiered in 2013 and followed a new cast.
