‘007 Obama’ used to sell fake Viagra in Pakistan

Virility is a vital aspect of being the chief. So, when it comes to selling fake Viagra-style sex pills, what brand would be better than the biggest chief of them all — President Obama.

And that’s not all. The glitzy cover of this Pakistan-based rip-off puts the commander-in-chief in a James Bond-style tuxedo with a silenced pistol in hand.

But is this a simple mistake or a piss-take?

The tins of blue erectile dysfunction pills are being smuggled into Pakistan’s Pashtun region adjoining Afghanistan — the home of some of the most hard-line Muslim extremists and Taliban sympathizers.

The effectiveness of the drug is suspect: while some pharmaceutical copies are sold, most are backyard mash up jobs using completely unknown substances.

“Young people are taking Viagra because of terrorism and unemployment. Bomb attacks are making them so depressed. And because of that they are feeling some weakness in their marital life,” Pakistani Dr. Samiullah Khan said.

Others put a different spin on the drug’s popularity.

“People use it because these pills have several characteristics,” local resident Ehsan Ullah told the AFP news agency.

“They help anyone who is unable to have sex, they improve the duration for people who have destroyed their youth through masturbation, so people use them to prolong their staying power to 30 minutes to one hour.”

But fellow resident Saeed Ahmed added: “It is very bad that shopkeepers are selling these pills … it’s wrong the government should ban them, they have paralyzed men’s sexual organs, paralyzed people’s legs and genitals.”

The official erectile dysfunction medication is banned in Pakistan.

The contraband tablets sell for about $1 for a box of four.
