‘Catch me if you can’ biker busted after video brag

He brought this upon himself, said a police officer.

Alberto Rodriguez posted a helmet-cam video on Facebook in May 2013 showing him speeding through traffic at more than 160kmh on a motorcycle, which he titled “Catch Me If You Can”, ABC News reported.

San Antonio Police announced yesterday on its Facebook page that they had arrested Rodriguez, 26, after a tip-off on a stolen motorcycle.

“It was a coincidence,” said San Antonio Police Sergeant Javier Salazar, CNN reported.

Rodriguez’s video of him speeding through traffic on Texas’ Interstate 35 was shared more than 10,000 times.

It took until this month before police began to hunt him down after a member of the public posted Rodriguez’s video on the cop’s own page.

San Antonio Police Chief William McManus told Fox News last week that the video was “one of the most insanely dangerous things that I have ever seen.”

Police said Rodriguez was wanted on two outstanding felony warrants and a misdemeanour assault warrant, and may face charges in connection to the stolen vehicle.

“He brought attention to himself,” added Police Chief McManus.
