Paraplegic suing doctor for shortening penis by an inch

A Canadian paraplegic who fractured his penis is suing doctors over a botched diagnosis that allegedly left his manhood one inch shorter and ruined the man’s marriage.

The plaintiff, from Repentingy, Quebec, wants $142,000 from Le Gardeur Hospital, according to the Montreal-based news agency QMI.

“This has caused a greater impact on my life than when I lost use of my legs,” the plaintiff said.

The man said he was injured while having sex with his wife in July 2011.

After going to the hospital, a nurse “made a brief visual inspection of the penis without touching it,” according to the lawsuit.

A urologist then said there was just “minor trauma” to the man’s penis, and he was sent home without further examination, the plaintiff said.

For several more weeks, the man was unable to have sex before he was finally diagnosed with a fractured penis.

The plaintiff went under the knife, which left a “permanent scar” down there, according to the lawsuit.

The worst part, he said, was the lost penis size — “about an inch” — which eventually led to his wife leaving him.

The man is suing the hospital for negligence and “indescribable anguish.”
