32 years later, Annie still singing ‘Annie’ songs

Leapin’ lizards! Annie the red-haired orphan is all grown up.

Aileen Quinn was just 10 years old when she beat out more than 8,000 hopefuls, including Drew Barrymore and Kristin Chenoweth, to land the lead role in the iconic 1982 movie.

Quinn, who was nominated for two Golden Globes for her performance in the film, signed a contract to appear in an “Annie” sequel but unfortunately it never happened.

After her big role, Quinn returned to theater and has toured both the US and UK with a number of different productions.

Now 43, Quinn is the lead singer of a rockabilly band called … wait for it … the Leapin’ Lizards.
