Kevin Garnett didn’t make trip to Miami

MIAMI — Kevin Garnett will miss his seventh straight game with back spasms after the Nets announced Tuesday he didn’t make the trip south for Wednesday’s showdown with the two-time defending champion Heat.

Garnett, who hasn’t played since the Nets blew out the Nuggets in Denver on Feb. 27, was set to return for Monday’s win over Toronto before being scratched from the starting lineup moments before the game.

The Nets are staying in Miami until heading to Washington for Saturday’s game against the Wizards, and it’s unclear whether Garnett will miss that game, as well. The Nets next play at home Monday against the Suns.

Andrei Kirilenko did make the trip after sitting out Monday with a sprained right ankle he suffered in Sunday’s win over the Kings. The Nets said Kirilenko is questionable for Wednesday’s game.
