A man who was shot dead and left on an Eastchester rooftop last week has still not been identified — and police said Monday they hope someone recognizes his tattoos.

The victim, believed to be in his 20s, suffered bullet wounds to the head and back.

He was found by cops on the roof of 711 Magenta St. at around 10 p.m. Thursday.

The victim had extensive body art, including a skeleton on his side, webs inked on his fingers, a skull on his arm and what appears to be flames on his leg.

A young man was found shot dead in Eastchester, cops said Monday.

The body of Quashawn Thomas, 19, was discovered in of the vestibule of a residential building on East 215th Street near Barnes Avenue at around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.


Manhattan

A thief used an elaborate ruse to rip off a Chelsea doorman, sources said Monday.

Jeff Korman, 54, allegedly walked into a building on West 18th Street between Seventh and Eighth avenues at 10 p.m. March 16, claiming to be the private driver of someone moving into the building. He said his car had been hit and he needed $125 for a tow, the sources said.

Immediately afterward, the 27-year-old victim received a call from someone claiming to be the new tenant and pleading with him to help the driver out, the sources added.

The doorman lent the money, but when the trickster returned demanding more cash, he was arrested, according to the sources.

The tenant in question does not have a private driver.

Cops busted Korman, who lives about a block away, and charged him with impersonation, grand larceny and fraudulent accosting.


A 15-year-old reported a $12,000 piece of Cartier jewelry missing and isn’t sure if it was taken from her family’s Midtown home or if she lost it.

The girl looked for her diamond and rose-gold “love” bracelet in the family’s high-rise apartment on West 42nd Street at 4 p.m. May 5, but couldn’t find it anywhere, sources said Monday. There were no signs of forced entry.


A domestic worker forged a check from the 67-year-old Chelsea woman who hired her, sources said.

The victim received a call from her bank at around noon May 1 when someone tried to cash a $700 check with a signature that didn’t match the one the bank had on file, sources said Monday.

The check was made out to the worker, who had access to the home, the sources added. No arrests have been made.


A 24-year-old woman’s purse was stolen was she was tearing up the dance floor in a Chelsea club, cops said Monday.

The victim told police that she had placed her purse on a table inside the Highline Ballroom on West 16th Street, and when she went to leave at around 2:30 a.m. May 6, the bag was gone.


A shopper’s purse was stolen in a Hell’s Kitchen CVS after a teen created a distraction, police said.

The 30-year-old victim turned to watch one teen making a scene inside the store on West 42nd Street near 10th Avenue at 3 p.m. May 6, while another teen snatched her bag.


Robbing this Gramercy shop was a piece of cake.

A gunman and two accomplices walked into the New York Cake and Baking Co. at around 5 p.m. Sunday, flashed a firearm at the shopkeeper and demanded money, cops said Monday.

His two pals kept a lookout while the robber pocketed $2,100 in cash, police said.

The thugs are believed to be their 20s.


Staten Island

An underage man who was charged with driving drunk in Rossville after smashing into a utility pole told cops he was trying to avoid hitting a squirrel, authorities said Monday.

The excuse didn’t fly with police, who said Robert Linardo, 19, had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and alcohol on his breath after the smashup on Arthur Kill Road at around 2:10 a.m. Sunday.

Linardo admitted having two Jack and Cokes and refused a Breathalyzer exam, sources said. He was charged with DWI.
