Drunk student barricaded himself inside of Carmine’s bathroom

A drunken law student from Long Island sneaked into a popular Times Square restaurant after closing time and locked himself in a bathroom — refusing to leave until hostage negotiators finally coaxed him out on Tuesday.

Sporting a suit and tie, Christopher McCune, 23, of Mineola slipped into of Carmine’s on West 44th Street at around 12:45 a.m. before stumbling to a restroom near the kitchen, police sources and employees said.

The dapper drunk then acted like a teenage girl having a bad- hair day — barricading himself inside and refusing to come out for more than 20 minutes, police sources said

Worried workers called the cops but McCune lashed out at officers, swearing, shouting threats and refusing to come out, police sources said.

NYPD hostage-negotiation officers eventually persuaded McCune, who was “visibly intoxicated,” to unlock the door, police sources said.

He was hauled away in an ambulance and later underwent a psychiatric evaluation at Roosevelt Hospital, police sources said.

He was not charged with a crime on Tuesday.

McCune, who attends St. John’s Law School, graduated from Loyola University in 2012 with an English degree.

He could not be reached by press time for comment. Reached at home, family members declined to comment.
