Darrell Hammond thought ‘SNL’ boss was ‘bored’ during audition

Former “SNL” trouper Darrell Hammond visits Wednesday night’s “Four Courses with JB Smoove” on MSG, where he dishes about his audition for the legendary NBC late-night franchise.

“There’s no one else in the studio but [Lorne Michaels] and a camera guy, and he’s sitting there looking at you. I think he was kind of bored, at first, like like someone had talked him into it,” says Hammond of Michaels. “But about five minutes in I checked him out again to see if he was still bored and he was kind of looking at me like a hawk . . . like he recognized something.” Hammond went on to star in “SNL” from 1995-2009, a record for an “SNL” cast member.

“Four Courses” will air after at 11:30 p.m. after the Knicks-Trailblazers game.

The Gunn club: “Modern Family” star Sarah Hyland and Zoey Deutch (“Vampire Academy”) will visit Thursday’s episode of Tim Gunn’s “Under the Gunn” on Lifetime (9 p.m.). Hyland will present the show’s “dress challenge” to the judges (including Rachel Roy and Jen Rade), while Deutch will serve as a guest judge.

Last, but not least . . .

Sarah Darling’s “Blackbird,” an interpretation of Paul McCartney’s Beatles-era hit, will be used on Wednesday night’s (200th) episode of “Criminal Minds” on CBS. Darling’s song is featured on the “Let Us in Nashville” album, which benefits The Women And Cancer Fund based in Chandler, Az. and was established in Linda McCartney’s memory . . . The Paley Center will screen daytime coverage of the upcoming Sochi Winter Olympics, free of charge, from Feb. 8 through Feb. 23 . . . ION has acquired exclusive weekday prime-time rights to air reruns of the CBS series “Blue Bloods,” starting this fall.
