Defensive end Shaun Phillips was part of the Broncos defense that was wiped out in an utterly one-sided 43-8 Super Bowl loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night, a bitter disappointment for the 10-year pro who attended high school not too far from MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Consolation came in the form of a post-game text message from his son Jaylen, which Phillips shared on Twitter:

Phillips had lovingly described Jaylen in a pre-Super Bowl interview with The Post’s Steve Serby: “He acts just like me, it’s almost kind of scary.”
