‘Pretty Little Liars’ renewed for 2 more seasons

Looks like the elusive “A” will be terrorizing the Liars for years to come.

ABC Family has renewed “Pretty Little Liars” for a sixth and seventh season, just hours before Season Five premieres Tuesday at 8 p.m.

Season Six will air in mid-2015 with Season Seven following in mid-2016.

It’s the first multi-year renewal for the teen drama, which is the top-rated series in network history, averaging 3.8 million viewers. It also holds the record as the most-tweeted scripted series telecast.

The Season Five premiere “EscApe From New York” picks up with the events of the finale, with the Liars (Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale and Shay Mitchell) reeling from “A” shooting Ezra – who is now in grave danger as the one person who knows “A’s” identity.
