Cuomo’s campaign fundraiser also working for GOPer

ALBANY—Gov. Cuomo is undermining the reelection of his party mate, Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, by allowing his campaign fundraiser to work for Schneiderman’s rival, sources said.

Republican AG candidate John Cahill has hired a firm Cuomo has employed, Blaney & Associates, run by Cathy Blaney.

“There is no way Cathy helps Cahill unless Andrew blesses it first,” said a source with knowledge of the situation.

Cahill’s hire comes just weeks after The Post reported that Cuomo was telling supporters it was okay to send checks to Cahill.

Relations between Cuomo and Schneiderman are tense.

The two recently clashed over who would control $613 million from a settlement with JP Morgan involving mortgage bond sales. The two officials eventually agreed to a split.

A spokesman for the Cuomo campaign said it is supporting the full ticket this fall, including Schneiderman.

Schneiderman’s campaign did not return calls.

Blaney had a long history of working for Republican candidates before signing up with Cuomo.
