Jeweler giving away a free Xbox with engagement ring purchase

Hands up any girls waiting for their man to propose?

One jewelry company might just have found the perfect incentive to get him across the line.

We all know men are obsessed with video games.

Perrywinkle’s, which has stores in Brooklyn, upstate New York and Vermont, has advertised that it will throw in a free Xbox One with the purchase of a ring which has a 3/4 carat diamond center stone.

And while a free Xbox is always a bonus it’s worth bearing in mind that the device, which retails for less than $500, costs a fair bit less than a Perrywinkle’s diamond ring.

Still the offer has drawn an amusing response on Reddit with user Dizzymo joking that it brought a whole new meaning to the term Xbox ‘ring of death’.

Another user, Artvandelay1, said the offer would probably sell a lot of Xboxes but create a lot of ex-wives.

Either way, whatever ring you do decide to go with it’s best to avoid those which are white gold, have a large stone with diamonds on the shoulder and cost about $1,300.
