NBC traded Michelle Beadle to ESPN for the Ryder Cup

Aren’t TV trades the best?

NBC and ESPN worked out a deal that allowed ESPN to negotiate with a disgruntled Michelle Beadle while she was still under contract with NBC, according to Sports Business Daily.

In exchange, ESPN handed Friday’s coverage of the Ryder Cup over to NBC-owned Golf Channel starting this year. Golf Channel was slated to pick up the weekday coverage in 2015 after signing a 15-year contract with the PGA of America. ESPN also received the rights to air highlights of the English Premier League and Olympics.

Beadle left ESPN for NBC in 2012, but her time there was marred by the cancellation of her “Crossover” show amid difficulties with co-host Dave Briggs.

“A lot of people get stuck in jobs that they don’t like and it’s horrible for them and I was fortunate to have people fight for me to get me out of it, so I can go back to being a happy, smiling person,” Beadle, who returned to ESPN in early March after getting out of her NBC contract a year early, told The Post recently.

“It was just a bad fit all around. That’s all I can say without getting into too much trouble.”
