Man beat brother dead with a cooking pot: sources

A man allegedly bludgeoned his brother to death with a cooking pot in Queens Tuesday afternoon, sources said.

The 29-year-old was arguing with his brother Jason Tolentino, 30, inside a South Ozone Park residence on 122nd Street near 115th Avenue around 3:20 p.m. when he pummeled him in the head with the pot, sources added.

The fatal feud was overheard by an upstairs neighbor who said one brother called police saying, “Hurry up, I think he’s dying.”

The neighbor, Matilde Martin, 23, also heard someone say, “I’ll kill you, I’ll kill you!”

The brothers were known to butt heads said Martin.

“Whenever they’re together they’re fighting. It’s nothing new.”

The siblings lived at home with their mother who left for the Dominican Republic the same day, said neighbors.

Jason Tolentino was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, but could not be saved, authorities said.

Police took the assailant into custody for questioning, but he has not been charged yet.
