An emotionally disturbed man dressed only in his underwear was killed when he dashed across a busy Queens highway and was hit by an airport shuttle van, authorities said.
The unidentified man in his 20s made the doomed sprint across the Van Wyck Expressway near the Atlantic Avenue exit in Jamaica at around 2 a.m. Sunday wearing a pair of boxer shorts, cops said.
The driver of the JFK airport shuttle was heading northbound on the expressway when he slammed into man and came to a screeching halt.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene
The stunned driver, 45, remained at the scene and is not expected to be charged with a crime, cops said.
