Dumpling maker axed after complaining of work conditions sues

A restaurant worker who says he was forced to make 1,000 dumplings a day for an East Village dumpling joint is suing, claiming he was fired for complaining.

Yong Quon Chen claims his ruthless boss at Dumpling Man on St. Marks Place made him work 12-hour shifts hand-stuffing and sealing dumplings while sitting on a high stool without back support.

The work caused Chen agonizing back, knee and heel pain, his Manhattan federal court suit alleges.

Chen seeks unspecified damages for his firing and for allegedly abusive work conditions. Messages left at Dumpling Man were not returned.
