Super PAC out to save New York’s Republican Party

With the Republican Party facing potential irrelevance in state government, a new Super PAC has been launched to help revive it.

Protect NYS PAC has filed papers with the state Board of Elections to help Republicans compete in statewide races and maintain control of the state Senate — the GOP’s last bastion of power in state government.

Michael Adams, a Louisville, Ky., lawyer who has run big-spending pro-GOP PACs, is listed as treasurer.
